Innovative web-based tool
The Food4CE Matchmaking Platform is an innovative web-based tool designed to connect key players in the alternative food sector. Alternative food networks play a crucial role in connecting local food producers, consumers, and other stakeholders, serving as key players in the short food supply chain (SFSC). They do more than link geographical areas—they foster social communities and promote a sustainable food system supported by local sourcing.
By fostering collaboration and developing advanced logistics solutions, the platform enhances the efficiency and sustainability of food supply chains across Central Europe. The platform serves as a virtual hub that connects, supports, and empowers key players in the alternative food market.
Alongside, also the Food4CE Knowledge Transfer Platform (KTP) has been developed within the project, which supports Alternative Food Networks (AFNs) in Central Europe by providing logistics knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions. It helps small and medium farmers overcome logistics challenges by sharing effective business models, digital tools, and efficient delivery methods. Through knowledge exchange and practical solutions, KTP enhances logistics efficiency, strengthens local food systems, and promotes transnational cooperation.
